Summer Bags

When you use schools to distribute food, the summer months can be challenging for families in need. To help relieve some of this stress, VTO board members and volunteers gather on Saturday, June 21st to put together 150 bags of food for families in need.

With the help of a dozen volunteers, we set up an assembly line of bag construction, filling packages of tuna, chicken, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, oatmeal, and other food essentials for distribution to families in need. The team was fast and efficient, building all of the bags in less than an hour of work.
